Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #225. Thanks for being here and sharing your time with us. We appreciate you.
It has been a very busy month as we quickly roll to the end of July. I did post a newsletter last week however I was not able to send out email notifications to alert you to the posting. This is significant. Why? The weekly reading numbers dropped about 80% from average weekly visits. This tells me that 80% of the average weekly readers do not know how to find the Hope for Survival webpage. You need to save it so you can visit it on your own.
This week's PENL is lighter because we had a long weekend away at Heritage Life Skills-Lite in North Carolina, and then we arrived home to a garden full of goodies that needed attention. So, canning and hot baths seem to be the theme of the week around here. The show must go on, right?
This heat is brutal and it's not going to let up. Please be safe, stay hydrated, and check on your elderly neighbors. As I have been writing about and warning, natural events such as weather is going to play a role in the days and weeks ahead. Be prepared and stay focused.
Writers - If you would like to submit a story or article to the PENL about your preparedness journey, no matter how short or long of time you have been preparing, we would love to hear your story and why you got started in preparing. I typically sanitize the submissions to protect your identify and location. Let us hear from you.
Let us move along....

We must make this brief public announcement to protect the innocent.
Ding, Ding, Ding....Attention HFS readers..... Opinions shared in this newsletter are just that, opinions, and nothing more. Read at your own risk. The owner and author of this site is not responsible for hurt feelings or thin-skinned readers. I do my best to show restraint and respect to the best extent possible. I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.
Let’s move along and get to some thoughts...

Medical Pearls: Dr: Dan Gentry MD
Attendees to Heritage Life Skills - Lite had the opportunity to hear guest speaker, Dr. Dan Gentry, MD, and also attend his classes during the weekend. Outstanding presentation to keep it to the point. I knew from previous attendees who attended Dr. Gentry's classes, he is one of the most requested instructors to the event. I now understand why the demand is so high. Can we agree that wisdom and personal experience is priceless?
Here's some brief snippets of information provided by Dr. Gentry. These are notes but they are far better when he is explaining them in detail.
Medications:
China confrontation... 90% of our antibiotics, and 70% of the ingredients to make all of our medicines come from China. "A wise man sees trouble coming and prepares." Jase Antibiotic kit JASE Medical Emergency Antibiotic Medication Kits, and "Altons Antibiotics and Infectious Disease" by Joseph Alton MD, Alton's Antibiotics and Infectious Disease: The Layman's Guide to Available Antibacterials in Austere Settings: Alton MD, Joseph, Alton ARNP, Amy: 9780578414522: Amazon.com: Books. Stock up on personal medications.
Expiration dates - most pills (not liquids) if kept dry, dark, and at room temperature are still good 10-30+ years later. (Epinephrine needs to be crystal clear) The exceptions are aspirin (only good 2 years), nitroglycerin and vitamins. (tetracycline and doxycycline are now OK). Lidocaine is "eternal" if kept in the dark.
Vitamins:
D-2,000-5,000 IU Daily - B 12 (If over 65) 1,000mcg. fast dissolving. I take cinnamon and turmeric and do not take any other vitamins or supplements.
Vaccines:
I would take the recommended childhood immunizations. (TDAP, MMR, Polio, HPV, hepatitis A@B ++ As an adult, I would get the Pneumovax 20, Shingrix (x2) and Tetanus (every 10 years).
Infections:
- Viral infections do not respond to antibiotics! "Avoid steroids)
- The antiviral medications Tamiflu (for flu) and Acyclovir (for shingles) works well.
- If a sore doesn't heal in two-four weeks or grows - think cancer
- Heat it. Temperatures above 104 degrees kills viruses and bacteria. Try heat first.
- If you choose to use an antibiotic, choose an appropriate one and use the recommended or higher doses.
Life Threatening:
- Exertional pain above the nipple LINE - Is Heart
- Weight loss without calorie reduction - Cancer
- Unexplained anemia in men - Colon Cancer
- Unilateral (one sided) leg swelling - DVT (deep venous thrombosis) high rate with Covid - Get the ultrasound. Prevent by walking every 1 to 2 hours, hydration, "fidgeting" take aspirin
- Rectal bleeding - (other than bright red and infrequent) - colon cancer
- Blood in urine - UTI (urinary tract infection) or urinary track cancer
No Treatment Needed
- Conjunctional hemorrhage (painless @ no vision changes) Possible blood in white part of the eye.
- Conjunctivitis (non-purulent) "Pinkeye" Use eye compresses
- Head injuries (without mental changes or vomiting)
Skin:
Skin cancers - If a sore on sun exposed areas has not healed in 2 to 3 weeks, think cancer @ get it treated ASAP.
- If an "ink black" spot occurs anywhere of any size, have it biopsied ASAP
Skin tears: clean if needed, replace the skin, super glue it back down and wrap with a compression dressing.
Cuts: Direct pressure. Do not close deep dirty wound. Then after the bleeding has stopped, superglue it, Steri-strip it, or sew it (within 24 hours). Then apply honey and a clean bandage each day.
Large Wounds: Clean initially, then apply honey and a clean bandage each day.
Burns: Ice, cover in a clean white sheet. Give Ibuprofen (up to 800 mg 3/daily for adults) IN Plan A - do nothing else and transport. IN Plan B - apply honey or 1/8 - 1/4 inch of Sugardine @ a clean dressing, change daily. Give antibiotics (Cipro or Doxycycline) until the burn wound is dry.
Bites: Large animal - Clean with soap and water, iodine, or peroxide, but don't close them. Use antibiotics.
Stings: Baking soda, narrow leaf plantain. H1 antihistamine (Benadryl, Zyrtec, Claritin or Allegra) + an H2 antihistamine (Pepcid AC, or Zantact) Using both, closes the front and back door of the mast cells which contain the histamine. (Early use of these two medications may prevent the need for the EpiPen)
Poison ivy: does not spread. think "axle grease" @ remove within two hours by scrubbing with dishwashing detergent. Use jewelweed extract for itching.
Ticks: Must be attached for over four hours to transmit infection. Mark your calendar for the two-week window of fever. A temperature above 101 F within two weeks of a tick bite needs to be treated (Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for one week) Fever after the two-week period is not related to the tick bite and does not need to be treated.
Miscellaneous:
Leg Cramps: Soap in bed (Irish Spring) (30% effective), Quinine (tonic water) (pickle juice, mustard, etc)
Coffee: Is a health food (if limited to 1-4 cups/daily)
Sprains, strains, and breaks: Ice immediately, immobilize and elevate. (But after 48 hours use heat). Allow a 48 hour recovery period for physical therapy treatments and strengthening exercises.
Rotator Cuff: Exercise
Walking: Best exercise for prevention of Alzheimer's disease, falls, broken hips and nursing home admission.
Balance: Put your shoes on without sitting down
British Berkfield (Big Berkey) filters prevents viral hepatitis.
Think twice about using:
Using steroids: They are best in severe allergic conditions, or chronic inflammation.
OTC (Over the counter) Supplements: They are unregulated and potentially harmful (they can kill you.
Antibiotics: Make sure the benefits outweigh the risks and side effects.
Weight Loss Programs: Almost all, will leave you weighing more a year later. (diets, pills and shots)
Homemade Remedies:
Gator Aid vs Home made (Poppy Aid) - Lemon juice and salt (three squeezes of the green (real lemon" bottle @ three pinches of salt per 1/2 gallon container) No sugar or coloring, preservatives, cost. (pre-hydrate)
Cough Syrup: One part whiskey, and one part honey. Shake well. It's eternal (may add 1/2 part lemon juice before use) (you can add Mullen extract if wheezing)
Jewel Weed extract: There is nothing better for anything that itches. Ex: poison ivy
Roller Bandage: Old sheets, torn in strips are useful for bandages, burn dressings, sponges, mobilization, etc. (collect them)
Worst Case Scenario:
Panic, Fear: Realize that you're not God @ He still is! Rehearse your fire drills. (written out)
Anxiety: Pray with Supplication and Thanksgiving. Displace worrisome thoughts with good one. Concentrate.
Depression: Exercise. Be engrossed in doing things for others. Look upward, not outward or inward.
The Greatest Pearl: Is You and I! Matthew 13:45-46)
What benefit is it if I thrive through TEOTWAWKI but do not have eternal life? Jesus gave up everything He had to buy you and I. I want to live my life so that He gets what He paid for.

Mental Health - As things move forward and many natural and manmade threats are revealed or happen, we are going to watch the further mental breakdown of the human factor all around us. Strangers, neighbors, family, and friends. Stress is damaging, powerful, and it changes the personality of a human. There will be many causes and reasons for this human breakdown.
I have been writing and warning readers to this situation and coming avalanche of societal issues. We can talk the citizens who are currently medicated and will no longer have access to critical medications and we can talk citizens we see daily who are totally obsessed with daily news, podcasts, and the events being reported like liquid sunshine being pumped out.
We all must focus and stay focused on realities. We have people around us who still believe former President Trump is going to regain office during the hours of darkness. We also have people believing many former administration officials from the BO and HRC era being executed at GITMO. There are available podcast broadcasting this stuff to hundreds of thousands of intelligent people who are taking in as much of this information as possible. High up sources said. Secret informants said. And on, and on, and on.
I'm not condemning these people on any account. What I am saying to all of us is when the truth is revealed, and things go further south, we are going to witness massive anger and breakdowns. The realization of being lied to. Kind of like waking up to find your entire 401K is gone. People are banking 100% on lies and psychological manipulation.
What you see and how you see it is completely up to you. For the sake of your own sanity, please focus and be very careful to the evil and demonic untruths trying to capture and monopolize our minds.
Thats all Patriots...
Preparedness News -
1. From Chloe Morgan - The Organic Prepper - What to Do When Your Adult Children Refuse to Prep - The Organic Prepper - The million-dollar question. Maybe the most asked question I have heard in the past few years. Sad isn't it? What happened to children giving respect to adults and parents offering views of the future and suggested support paths. It would be easy to shrug your shoulders and move on, however it just isn't that easy is it. I would suggest planting seeds along the path and hope they root and take off to grow on their own.
2. From Candi Hanson - Homestead Survival Site - 11 Healthy Foods That Will Outlast You - Homestead Survival Site - I'm reading this article while enjoying some dandelion pesto on homemade sourdough crackers. Both made by Patriot Sisters from NC and TN. If you have never enjoy dandelion pesto, try it. It will quickly become a part of your planned available foods. Stocking food and building your preparedness nest is so important. But, we also talk about buying and stocking foods you and your family will eat. Volume is great. Quality is equally important.
3. From Survival Blog Contributor - Survival Blog - Preparing With a Parent in Decline. Bugging Out is probably not going to work. (survivalblog.com) - This topic seems to be surfacing more and more as we age and go forward. It can and will impact phases of your preparedness. Identify how this would impact you, upfront, and not when the event occurs and you have this added stress.
4. From Michael Snyder - Economic Collapse - Store Food While You Still Can, Because 2.4 Billion People Already Do Not Have Enough Food As This New Global Famine Accelerates (theeconomiccollapseblog.com) - Natural disasters, manmade events, food shortages, and rumors of war. These things drastically impact food, available food, and long term food available to the global community. This impacts you. Are you ready?
5. From Ashley Adamant - Practical Self Reliance - 20+ Herbal Salve Recipes (practicalselfreliance.com) - Great information and food stuff to print for your library.
Other News -
1. The Peoples Voice - WEF Launches 'Mark of the Beast' CBDC Microchip To 'End Gun Ownership in America' (rumble.com) - Here you have another example of what is coming, and we will still have many denying it because CNN didn't cover it in the evening news. Good video on chipping under the skin and the Central Bank Digitial Currency. Are you ready?
2. From Kevin Roberts - The Daily Signal - Fighting for Liberty and Truth in the 2020s (dailysignal.com) - Great read. Get involved. Don't complain if you haven't stepped out to participate in your community and beyond. (Thanks to a fellow Patriot from the Cumberland Plateau for this submission.)
3. From Gary Humble - Tennessee Stands - Tennessee Stands (rumble.com) - You don't have to be from TN to sign up for this podcast. I would encourage it. This is another citizen getting involved and educating us on what is really happening. We are being lied to about many things and by Republicans to boot. Like I have said, I'm an American first. Example. TN currently has a Republican Governor and control of the state Senate and Congress, with a super majority I do believe. Why are bills not being passed in favor of the conservative values? Check out Gary and his message. Good stuff. Ms. Lucy and I had the chance to hear Mr. Humble speak at a local political dinner last week and his passion and message were first rate.
4. From Devy Kidd - News with Views - Can Banks Dump the Fed? – News With Views - Good article with good thought-provoking points.
5. From Revolver News - ABC journalist who attacked Tucker was just convicted of possessing the most unspeakable child porn on earth... - Revolver News - Oh how this story seems to be how so many ends up. ABC journalist who attacked Tucker was just convicted of possessing the most unspeakable child porn on earth... - Revolver News - Oh how this story seems to be how so many ends up.
That's all my Patriot brothers and sisters.
Prayers - Please keep our great nation, our elected leaders, military and first responders in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for good health and wisdom. Please pray for our leadership to find answers and guidance to the problems facing our great nation. May your faith remain strong and answers to the unknown provided. God is good and may our prayers blanket and protect you and your circumstances. I pray for each, and every one of our Patriots.
The HFS family needs lots of prayers right now. We have several sisters and brothers in great need of uplifting.
May we pray for all the blessings and things in life to be thankful about and continued hope for revival around the world. We must continually pray for the unsaved, our family and friends who live each day without the protection for eternal life and salvation.
As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.
Blessings,
Bravo Echo Out,
During the Zoom meeting last night, I was mentally struggling with what I needed to can this weekend. Just on Saturday, not Sunday. I don't care how busy I am or how much I 'think' I need to do, I have been teaching myself to ALWAYS rest on Sunday. I had planned to can cabbage beef soup but changed my mind to getting more green beans 'under the bed' (my pantry, LOL) and maybe more beef chunks for beef stew this winter, I have even learned to make/bake bread from a basic recipe! I can't tell you how excited I was when I took my first loaf out of the oven and it looked just like the video I watch…
