Greetings and welcome to the Patriot Express Newsletter Edition #290. Thanks for stopping by for this week's edition. I hope you are healthy and surviving this flu season okay. Between rain, floods, and a heavy flu season, it seems much of our eastern and southeastern populace are occupied with impacts of these occurrences. So many rural and small communities are suffering from flooding and some of the communities have yet to recover from Hurricane Helene. It's a very sad situation that doesn't get fixed with a blank check and more meetings and politics.
The federal and state government authorities held press conferences on the ground in Hurricane Helene impacted areas. Now, let's see what happens to move improvement and progress forward. I keep hearing words such as "great" and committed" to describe authorities in charge yet it has been five months since Hurricane Helene. Let the people impacted the hardest see some response and action. I want to be optimistic, but I have been on the ground in several of the disaster areas and to this point progress has been slow at most.
Most of the impacted areas will require long term state and federal assistance to recover over a long-term period. They are poorer communities dependent on tourism and without roads and infrastructure tourist won't return which impacts family-owned businesses and individual families working in the tourist industry. Slow response with fixes and improved roads and water drainage fixes will continue to hamper efforts. While the residents wait, volunteers and resources will continue to be needed for survival.
Here at Hope for Survival we continue to do our best to support efforts to aid families and communities, but our efforts are dependent upon continued donations. I want to thank everyone who has donated and many who donated multiple times to support our efforts.

I take as many precautions as possible and try to remain as nonpolitical as possible, however, there are times when I just can't help but point certain things out. Occasionally I use words only Patriots recognize and understand. It's not personal against any non-Patriot. It's just the truth. Sometimes we must pull up our spenders and suck it up. Just saying. Stay the course, read what you want, and avoid the rest. Avoid fear porn as much as possible and the day will be okay. When all else fails… Keep the faith and always have Hope.
Thoughts for the week - Nothing has changed
Many believed post January 20, 2025, things would be fixed, and they could take off their body armor and take a breather. I hear it often, from conversations and reading different comments in internet blog sites. We have a new sheriff in town named Trump and he is going to fix everything. I get it. We all want better, and we want it now.
I can see government officials visited Western North Carolina and Tennessee disaster areas more in a couple weeks than the previous administration visited in four months. This is a huge boost in moral for the disaster survivors. But, they must have fixes and answers now. We can add Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia to the list of needs. Just remember, these government officials are human and march to the beat of the President's orders. They can only be in one place at a time.
I see lots of fist bumps and high fives amongst MAGA friends and the proud voices discussing the DOGE announcements and discussions of peace deals. This is all great news and we hope to hear more of it going forward. It couldn't have gotten much worse, could it? We basically witnessed our government running on life support the previous four years. Now we hope for positive steps upward going forward.
I don't write this to be a downer or pessimist to the topic. We must realize and remember the people who took us down this road towards a national downfall and crash are still in power in some government positions and their intent and goals remain to achieve their objectives. They will continue to throw out roadblocks, lawsuits, riots, protest, and anything else within their power to slow or stop progress of the current administration. Not just nationally but also globally. We are already seeing this with President Macron of France trying to roadblock President Trump's Middle East efforts with the Israel-Gaza issue. Macron is trying to put together a European and Middle East delegation to fix the problem leaving the United States out of the picture. This is a possible ticking time bomb to the existing long-term problem.
A President can have a solution to every problem, but the solution requires a multi-nation agreement to fix the problem. What the media has failed to report is President Trump did in fact include Europe by sending out a questionnaire to each nation for their input on a Gaza solution. Either they didn't respond or else their suggestion wasn't acceptable to the United States, so President Trump moved without them. Typically, allies support allies but, in this case, Europe is moving in a different direction. Could this be because Vice President Vance told the European leaders their greatest threats and problems came from within vs an external threat? Meaning, human rights, freedom of speech, and caring for the people vs focusing on immigration to new arrivals. VP Vance's message was the same message President Trump campaigned on for America.
Someone who campaigned with the President recently stated after each campaign stop and speech by the President, he would exit the platform and immediately made a note to himself of each promise he made to America. I share this because now we often hear the President comment how he just delivered on a campaign promise after sharing news to the viewers of an accomplishment from the Oval Office. The problem is, outside the Oval Office many negative forces are working against the President and our nation.
We as preparers must recognize this and continue to focus on our efforts to build our personal self-reliant insurance policy. We can continue praying for our leaders and country but must continue focusing on our ability to survive with our family and community. The force of evil remains in force, and we must not sleep and putting the omen of recovery on one man and the federal government.

As Patriots we must stay strong and never give up. Our home, community, and nation need us now more than ever. Stay focused on your local community and things that will impact you around the nation. Don't allow the events around you to create fear in your life. Build your own self-reliance and focus on faith and hope. Remember we are a blessed nation, and we must continue to be great people today and make a better tomorrow. Keep charging.
